The Ginsberg readings are taken from the Big Table benefit held at the Sherman Hotel, Chicago, January 29, 1959, and the disc accompanies a 20pp. article by Gerald Brennan on the controversy surrounding the suppression of the Chicago Review and subsequent launch of Big Table in Spring 1959 (illustrated with photographs of its editors and contributors).

Other articles include David Farber and Stef Leinwohl on the Chicago ’68 police riots, featuring 26 full-page photographs of the events by the latter, three of them showing Abbie Hoffman in the thick of it.
