SEMINA 9 (LA: 1964).
32mo. Columbian Brown Clasp envelope with stamped title and date, and Jack Beers’ photograph of Jack Ruby about to shoot Lee Harvey Oswald affixed to the outside, altered by Wallace Berman to depict a twinned image of the agent guarding Oswald. The cancelled postage stamp above shows an American flag waving over the White House.
Initialled ‘W.B.’ in black ink and addressed by Berman to poet James Koller in Bow, Washington State.
Enclosed card prints an untitled poem by Michael McClure, beginning “Double Murder!”, written in response to Berman’s image.
Small rust marks from the envelope’s metal clasp have bled through to the upper part of the card, o/w a Near Fine copy of the scarce final issue.
