In 1968, as part of the research for his exhibition ‘Assemblage in California’ at UC Irvine, Hal Glicksman discreetly brought a tape recorder into the Berman’s home in Topanga Canyon and secretely conducted a recorded interview with the famously interview-averse Wallace Berman.
